Average CO2 emissions of new cars by country

New cars sold in Norway have the lowest average CO2 emissions in Europe at 12 g/km, largely because so many of them are electric. At the other end, Slovakia averages 138 g/km. The figure is the average across all newly registered passenger cars in a country.
